WHAT IS THE ZEROTH LAW OF THERMODYNAMIC ?

STATEMENT :
basic law of thermodynamics which states about the thermal equilibrium between three object's let's assume X , Y , & Z are three bodies .

1) body X is in thermal equilibrium with body Y

2) body Y is in thermal equilibrium with body Z ;           (separately)

This law lead us to some important consequences -

-If body X is in touch with other body Y it tends to attain thermal equilibrium with respect to Y .

(obviously true in case of Y , & Z too).

-So to attain thermal equilibrium , bodies should have same temperature.

-If two bodies are in thermal equilibrium than there will be no transfer of heat will occur in any direction .
